Seedling growth of A. triphyllum

Hello all.  Shift in topic?   How big can one expect A. triphyllum to =get in the first year from seed?    Largest one anybody knows of from =seed?  I'm beginning to wonder if what I'm seeing--up to 10" in height =and 7" across the leaflets isn't a sign of something else- like maybe a =prior year of growth underground ?

Maybe it's just another weird thing in my yard. Others don't  come up =more than 3" from seed, and about 2" across at the maximum. 


Since I am now trying about 6 different souces of triphyllum from seed, =I'd like to compare other folks' experiences.  Adam Fikso in Glenview, =Illinois.  USDA Zone 5a
