It is granite grit. Sold as a poultry supplement.  I have found it at
Southern States Cooperative but you may be able to find it at a local
feed and grain store.  It's also called chicken or turkey grit; comes
in several size grades; I prefer starter and grower.  There are other
poultry grits out there; just be sure what you get has no additives.

This product is (I think) a sideline from the North Carolina Granite
Company who produce blocks of granite.  I have even emailed them
telling them they need to market this for gardeners...got no
response, so figure they aren't interested.  They do have a web site
with a page listing 3 distributors, so if you can't find it, you
could contact one of them and see who might carry it near you:
