Hello,
If these tubers are just imported, it is - unfortunately - not surprising=that some of them wither just after poping up. They were shipped too dry=and do not produce roots that could replace the amount of water required=by the shoot. Put the tubers "in good health" in pot or in the garden, i=n very well drained soil. They will take three years to become acclimatiz=ed.

>Got some Chen-Yi bulbs, A. erubescens, all look like A consanguineum?

A. consanguineum and A. erubescens were, and are still often, mistaken on=e for the other. The main difference is that A. erubescens is stolonifero=us, has an erect fruiting peduncle when ripe and germinates with a simple=aerial blade.
A. erubescens inhabits high mountains in E Nepal, I don't know if it is p=resent in Tibet; A. consanguineum is widespread from Nepal to Central Chi=na.
You're right, all tubers from Chen Yi, sold as A. erubescens, were either=A. consanguineum with a green, more or less flushed red spathe, or A. ci=liatum.

Good luck.
