Hello all. Not unlike Jim--similar climate,  in the north of Chicago
area --my urashima and thunbergii haven't come up either, but neither did
any of my fargesii or speciosum.   I must still wait, because I made the
grievous error of digging one up to see  (thought I was far enough away from
where the tuber might be) and cut right into it alongside the elongating
shoot.  Haste DOES make waste.!  So does stupidity!.
