Now that seed has been distributed I'd like to ask for some feedback -
but some years in the future!
My form of speciosum var. mirabile originally from Bhutan does not have
the same type of spadix surface as pictured in Guy's book page 124.
I have described it as looking like the cut surface of a foam sponge -
in other words, the surface is dimpled, not rugose. I'd be grateful - if
anyone remembers this request when their seedling plants start to flower
in 3-4 years - for information on the consistency of this feature. It
would also be interesting to hear from any other person growing this
species from a known location.
