Dear Petra.
Whew! I was afraid that I'd deleted your address! I'm glad that =you
were still on my computer. Happy New Year! I'm wondering what everyone a=t
Plant Delights is doing in this terrible cold weather. It was 3 degrees =here
when I woke up. Now ist'24 degrees. I hope for your sake, that you're on=an
exotic trip on the other side of the equator. But, for my sake, I hope t=hat
you're in Raleigh, and able to answer my question....
I would like to ask you for some help. I'm terrified to ask Ray a=s he
has hates what AOL does by scrambling the letters. He's asked me not to
participate in the AEG! I've told you that before....
I am having a faux painter paint 6 Arisaemas on the 6 panels of m=y
new pantry, my kitchen cabinet. He's coming the last week of this month.
The painter says that he can paint a lot faster if he can copy from a
botanical print as opposed to Tony's photographs. Faster, means less mon=ey
for me to pay, as I'm paying by the hour. Do you have any suggestions as=to
any references I can find, either at a book store or on line? I want to
include:
1-sikokianum
2-ringens (frontal view)
3-iyoanum
4-kiusianum
5-candidisium (pink form)
6-maybe a 'morph
The other thing that I'm having the faux painter do is to paint a =wall
to look like a higgilty-piggilty falling Roman wall w/ big old grey
fieldstone rocks w/lichens, dirt, moss, grass and flowers growing out of=the
dirt, snakes, lizards, bird poop, insects and generally "guild the lily."
More is better. Over the arch in the doorway, he'll do a Medici coat of
arms or a Pope's lion head. So that's it, for the first stage of the fau=x
painting. I have other ideas for the second stage, but I want to take it
easy on Dick's pocketbook and do it by stages.
Thank you very much, Petra,
Liz
