Dear Jim W. and all,

In fact, I built a database of vendors and genera in MS Access several
years ago. Only Rob Potterton and a couple other vendors actually sent me
their genus/species price list data in a form that I could integrate
directly into the database! The rest of it involved me entering everything
by hand. No more! Vendors did not care enough to provide usable data, so
I am not updating that any more.

However, it is still available, as a relational database in MS Access
(probably version 95) from one of my web sites. I called it the "Bulb Finder".

If anyone wants it, in MS Access, drop me a note privately at
<jshields104 at insightbb.com> and I'll send you details of how to find
it. Ask for the Bulbfinder Database in the subject line. To a great
extent, the listings seem to be still surprisingly accurate.
