I havn't put any fertiliser in my pot but the mix i'm using contains a slow
release fertiliser. Does this have an effect on the odour (the potting mix
doesn't smell)? I use the same mix for other species and haven't noticed any
smells.

Also, i forgot to mention i found a few mosquitoes inside the spathe of A.
amurense, i thought they were attracted by the smell.

Just another note odours, do Arisaemas use odours to attract pollinators?
Are the elaborate appendiges on some species (eg, A. speciosum) something
for the pollinators to climb onto?

Cheers
