Ray,
Can you or anyone tell me who publishes the South African J. of Botany? Is
it also the Botanical Society? (I can't recall seeing it in their
periodicals list.)
I've tried all the usual suspects for seeds of the less common species of
Zantedeschias, including Silverhill. I am arranging to get some seeds of
pentlandii in February. Let's see if or how many I can actually get then!
A likely place, that I have not tried, for odorata would be Jim Holmes'
Cape Seeds & Bulbs. Also, Sutherland -- one that had completely slipped my
mind! Sutherland has no e-mail, but he has some interesting seeds from the
Western Cape, where odorata's home is.
According to someone, Rachel Saunders of Silverhill seeds I think, the King
of Sekhukhuniland, in Limpopo, owns personally the only mountain on which
Z. jucunda grows. Charles Craib doubts that anyone can get any seeds or
tubers of that species. Unless you can find somebody who knows somebody
who knows the King personally. Good luck; and when you do get some, I'd
appreciate getting a couple of the Z. jucunda seeds just for being such a
nice guy.
