Well, since we've been talking about Arums...
My D. vulgaris, having grown springtime last 2 years outdoors and producing
odiferous sunny May days, now have shoots 3 - 6 inches (about 7-15 cm) tall
with the largest with leaves unfurling. They've been SLOWLY expanding
several months now, and despite nightime dips into the upper 20's F exhibit
no damage!

D. canariensis was left last summer in pot and since starting to grow again
last November has been kept under metal halide lighting in the basement. It
now has 2 shoots, about 4 leaves each, less than 2 feet high. Looks very
slender, but not weak. How long till blooming?

Arum purpureospathum sheltered between large butress roots of a large oak,
lost its leaves. Moved to the raised humus bed against the southeast house
foundation where concinnum, dioscoroides, and even creticum in a cold frame
do well. Its stems were bunched up in a cutoff 2 liter plastic soda bottle.
Hope it helps or else it'll be moved next to the creticum in the cold
frame. Arum nigrum is the only one to have waited to come up until just a
week ago. Of course italicums are up all over the place. Besides vulgaris
and italicum, I still have yet to see any of these bloom!
