Mouse plant Arisarum proboscideum

Hello Diane,

I have Arisarum proboscideum also and I have noticed what I would
describe as tiny 'acorn' like black pods where the inflorescence used to
be, tucked away under the leaves, but they seem to disappear quickly.
I'm not sure if the resident sow bugs eat them (there are lots of those
in the log rounds where they're planted, and they do eat the bulbils or
corms), or if they rot readily, or if they just lose their seed really
fast, but they do have some kind of seed or fruit. Mine are all gone
now so I can't look a little closer this year. They propagate so
extensively via bulbils or corms (I don't know what to call them) that I
see no reason for seed at all, but they're there!
