I'll add that A. konjac in my yard is growing in bright shade, although some
mid to late afternoon sun might filter through, it is not much It's
definitely not growing in sun. I have A. paeniafolius (sorry for the
spelling, am working phonetically), however, that is spending it's first
summer getting late afternoon (say, after 4 or 5 p.m.) sun. Leaves are
grass green compared to the hunter green of A. konjac growing 10 feet away
with very little sun.
