Forcing is what I have to live with, Paige, because so far, none of the
Arisaema I have planted outside have survived my Alaskan winters. I have
hopes that I will find the magic combination of hardy strain and
microclimate.
In the meanwhile, I grow all my Arisaemas in pots, and store them in a
dedicated refrigerator all winter long. My biggest challenge is that the
machine is one of those self defrosting kinds, so I have to remember to b=e
diligent and water regularly, or everything dessicates. When I don't sc=rew
up and over water or underwater, I always have a jack or two blooming in
February. Now if I could just get them to bllom at the same time and mak=e
seeds....
