Subject: Zantedeschia drip tips
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
One of life's mysteries for me is the droplets of water that drip from
the tips of Zantedeschia leaves. They can't be from rain, clouds, fog,
or even excess humidity because these plants are growing indoors
in a low -humidity environment.
What purpose could the dripping serve? I've not noticed this on
Arisaema. Do other aroids do it too?
One thing is certain, aroids are a constant source of amazement
for an engineer with little biological training.
