I have somewhere between quite a few to some Chinese Arisaema in their 3r=d
year of growing.  I've moved them around the yard trying to find the best
spot that will give them a longer growing season.  Casual observation poi=nts
towards shade to semishaded conditions, although I haven't ruled out the
benefits of morning sun.  Afternoon sun in Atlanta seems to induce early
dormancy compared to similarly numbered species growing in more shaded
conditions.

Most seem to have survived Atlanta's wet winters, although again this is
casual observations.  I lost quite a few A. erubescens in a particular be=d
but haven't decided between too wet winter conditions and a chipmunk tunn=el
found in that bed.  (I don't think Atlanta has voles, thank gawd.)

A new method with this year's plantings is to add 1 to 2 inches of sand i=n
the hole, followed by the bulb, and then a covering of sand to keep
conditions drier during dormancy.  Time will tell.

I will now make attempts to do better at keeping an updated inventory of =how
things do over the years.
