Snow, ice, snow, and more ice!
Well, while I'm waiting for spring, I have started some of the tubers tha=t have gone through a cold spell in the frig. I have about 600 A. triphyl=lum (2nd growth) growing on in the greenhouse. Don't ask me why! I've pro=mised a few hundred to the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI -- they are=working on their wildflower collection. The rest I'll put out in the Sev=en Acre Woods. I've also been growing on many other 2nd growth tubers fro=m last year.
It's time to get the Amorphophallus tubers that have been dormant in the =basement out and into the greenhouse. Then, I've got to figure out how to=handle all of those dormant (but breaking dormancy) Colocasia esculenta =in the basement. I think it's going to be a swimming pool full of water u=nder grow lights in the basement . . .
Ah for Spring. We've still got 12 inches of snow in the gardens.
