Dear Pascal,

I am grateful for the exchange with you! and did not mean to
censure you or anyone.  I have never before participated in an email list
serv -- therefore am unsure about etiquette.

Very interesting result you describe:  the lack of a correlation
between significantly decreased tuber size and turning male.  The crux he=re
may be the word 'significant'.   Earlier arisaema workers cut off pieces =of
tubers and thereby turned previously female plants into males.  Perhaps
your plants were just at thet hreshhold for sex switching....

not wait before the plant is big enough to produce both types of flowers?
If you gonna do it, do it good....."

If others get their (male) gametes out, you can't afford not to.
