Arisaema berries are definitely poisonous as are the other parts of the
plant. The tubers have
been eaten by Indians, but only after boiling out all the calcium oxalate
crystals.
See my posting on Deni Bown's book and get a copy. It's highly
informative on all aroids.
Meanwhile, keep your children clear of aroids. Dieffenbachia,
Spathiphyllum, and other
commonly grown houseplant aroids are considerably more toxic than
Arisaema.
