Jim,
The mystery has been clarified. I asked Sherlock, who took a magnifier an=d
noticed the presence of cilia along the margin of the tube-mouth! In both
reddish- and green-spathed plants. It is A. ciliatum. And we should be
expecting stolons.
This could explain the small size of these plants, probably freshly
produced tuberlets, just severed from their original stolons. It is the
first time we are meeting plain green spathed ciliatum.
