Jim,
Indeed, the A-80 arisaemas look like a small form of A. consanguineum.
There exists such a form called A. consanguineum f. alpestre by Krause in
1922 from specimens collected at the top of Mt Emei (ca. 3000 m) by
Limpricht. No one exceeded a height of 15 cm!
Hence the question is where do those A-80 come from?
About A. candidissimum "rose spathe", I have 17 flowering plants, all fro=m
the same division: 12 are purely female, 4 male and 1 has some male flowe=rs
topping the main female spadix. We also noticed that, but very rarely, wi=th
A. serratum and A. franchetianum. This remains exceptional!
Best wishes.
Guy
