It's WAY TOO COLD to even think about working in the garden, so I'm
admiring the
Zantedeschia that are just opening their leaves in the pots by the east
windows.
There's also the Carissa macrocarpa 'Boxwood Beauty' still growing in a
large pot
by the south-facing French-doors. It hasn't bloomed yet, but looks great.
Cocoloba uvifera
(Sea Grape) is also doing well in its pot of sand.

There are several seedlings from South African seeds growing away in
their pots as well.
But, the excitement is Ellen Hornig's new catalog that came yesterday.
Great layout and
illustration this year. She points out that spring is not the best time
for shipping Arisaema from
upper New York state, better to wait for the fall catalog. But, the large
selection of
Arum will delight you. And there's Pinellia cordata 'Yamazaki', a Roy
Herold introduction. If
you don't have this one, get it quickly.

Ellen offers her usual large selection of Cyclamen, but I'm intrigued by
the three species
of Aristolochia she offers. Two are vines, but one is actually
self-standing. Better get
your Dutchman's pipes before smoking is banned altogether.
