By the way, there are two new books will be published in next month.
It's brief introduction and prices as bellow. If you are interested in,
please let me know.

<< Native Orchids of China in Colour >> [$20.00 USD each.]
China is rich in orchid flora. There are some 172 genera and 1200
species known from this country. Nearly one fourth of them are of
horticultural merit, such as paphiopedilums, cypripediums, cymbidiums
and pleiones. This book is a companion volume of "The ORCHIDS OF CHINA"
published in 1998, but the attention is focused on the wild species of
horticultural importance. Altogether 403 wild species in 115 genera are
included in this book. Each species has a couple of colour photographs
of habitat and enlarged flowers and both English and Chinese
descriptions. The colour photographs were mainly taken by the authors
themselves in recent years, some of which, such as the habitat of
Paphiopedilum emersonii, are published for the first time. This book
would be very informative and helpful to not only orchid specialists but
also growers and amateurs.

<< The orchids of China >> [$10.00 USD each.]
The orchids of China is a book written by S. C. Chen and Z. H. Tsi and
published in 1998. It consists of 14 chapters and five appendices, such
as "Orchid Genera of China", "Native Cymbidium of China", "Chinese
Non-cymbidium Orchids of Horticultural importance" and "Propogation
(including tissue culture)".
Although this book is mainly written in Chinese, all genera and species
have scientific names and some chapters have English annotations. The
appendices "A List of Artificial Hybrid Genera and their Parents" and
"Abbreviation of Both Hybrid and Non-hybrid Orchid Genera" are written
in English. In addition nearly 150 colour photographs, 60 drawings and
many photographs of Chinese ancient orchid painting are included in this
book. It is a very informative and useful book to orchid people.

( S. C. Chen----Professor of botany, President of the Orchid Society of
China. He has published five books and over one hundred articles on
orchids.)
