People,
I think I have to defend the FoC key a bit. Let's not forget that =tackling Arisaemas in China is not an easy job. So I am glad somebody is =doing it at all to begin with. That must be applauded. As taxonomists =are brought up to, there must be disagreements but I hope they can be =discussed during the process of finalising the aroid treatment of FoC. =There is generally a difference of approach between western plant =taxonomists and eastern ones. In Asia, and more particularly in China, =species are usually described within much narrower morphological limits =than here. I am sure glad though that quite some of the discussed =species are in cultivation now and exchanging data through this list =will show us more about the range of variation that may exist in them. =So let's keep the ugly bastards growing!!!!!!! (or was that =Amorphophallus?).
Cheers all,
Wilbert
