Back like a bad penny

OK! 1 1/2 days of hard labor, a whopping long distance bill, and I'm back
on line.

It was not a virus, just a lousy web site that locked up the computer
when I
hit one of their buttons. It corrupted 28 sectors destroying Windows
itself
1-2-3, and WordPerfect too. Of course Windows wouldn't reload with the
display
driver I'm using set to 1024x728. Just how do you change the settings on
the graphics card from DOS? 3 phone calls to Canada later I hit a Tech
who knew how to fix it without dismantling the hardware, etc. Actually it
was pretty simple once you knew what you were trying to do.

Windows loaded reasonably well, and WordPerfect took another half day
mostly trying to remember all the lost settings. Fortunately, 1-2-3 fixed
itself
after the Windows reload.

Cheers! I'm back you lucky people.
