I have plants in pots flowering from seed sown in November 1996. I can't
compare mine with the normal ones, as I can't even find a picture of one.
The most noticeable attribute is the daintiness. The flowering stalk is 9
cm high (about 3.5 inches), half of which is stem, and the other half
spathe, which is bent forward about 40 degrees. The leaves are still lower,
so they are in proportion. The outside of the spathe is striped pale green
and white tinged pale pink near the base, with red-purple stippling near
the base and at the top, before the green of the blade top begins. This
green is veined and edged purple. Underneath, the blade is a maroon that's
almost black, and the inside of the tube is striped white and very
pale green stippled purple.
