I think that most likely there are forms/subspecies of A. triphyllum that=are
perfectly happy growing in wet areas either in the wild or in the garden.
However, what I was trying to say, but not very well, is that just becaus=e
some triphyllums grow in wet areas, don't assume that all of them will su=rvive
in such conditions.

Also, one can certainly postulate that there may be significant differenc=es
between the chemical/bacteriologic conditions in a natural boggy area and=a
poorly drained flower bed.
