I would say that either in the ground or in the greenhouse, very little w=ater
is needed, or desirable, during dormancy. Easy to do in the greenhouse, b=ut
harder in the ground! Some species (A. sikokianum for one) are very subje=ct to
rotting in winter wet, and I would advise planting any arisaema in as wel=l
drained a location as possible. Even A. triphyllum, which sometimes grows=in
wet areas in the wild, can rot in a wet garden.

For indoor storage, either in an unheated greenhouse or refrigerator, lar=ge
tubers can be kept essentially dry. However, the smaller the tuber, the m=ore
likely it is to die by dessication, so adding a bit of moisture to the mi=xture
is advisable. Lately, I've been storing small tubers in the refrigerator =in
damp turface (enough moisture to turn the granules dark but not to clump)=and
it seems to work very well.
