May be I have not made myself clear enough the last time but with so many
'scientific' people on board of this group I think this is interesting
and -may be- rewarding item.
I have now several Arisaema sowings sprouting and I noticed that -for
instance- amurense, flavum and consanguineum have their first leave
'entire'.
I received also several packets of seeds from Greg Ruckert which were
collected in southern China. These collections do not yet have a proper name
but collection-numbers. I noticed that for instance the numbers 11257 and
11000A do also have their first leaves 'entire' but the numbers 10872 and
10260 have their first leaves 'three parted'.
Knowing that most genera are split in sections (and I trust Arisaema too) I
wonder if species in a certain section all have their first leaves 'entire'
while other section(s) may have their first leaves in three parts.
If that is known it is also may be somewhat easier to come up with a final
name for these.
I wonder too if other receivers of Greg's seed have made the same
observations than I.
Care.
