Fellow AEGers

Once again it is time, a little overdue probably, to remind you all
that I will be doing the AEG 1998-99 SEEDX . Last year's exchange saw a
wealth of seed, Arisaema plus some Arum and a very few Pinellia arrived
from just under 30 donors. After spending a little time here this seed
made its way out to over 140 recipients in 18 countries. With Roy
Herold's offer of Pinellia cordata 'Yamazaki', Sue Zunino's
Zantedeschia 'Green Goddess', and four donations already in hand, we are
off to an encouraging start. Membership and Species Awareness are
growing. I hope that those members with estabished gardens will be able
to repeat the generosity demonstated last year. Below is an edited
version of last year's message:

ESTABLISHED AEG GARDENERS:

1) With AEG membership continuing to grow we can never get too
much seed of the more readily available species, i.e.: consanguineum,
sikokianum, dracontium, tortuosum, ringens, etc., etc. Many of our
members need absolutely everything - so don't be afraid to bury me in
seed, we'll use it all. >>>>>[The quantity of sikokianum seed received
in 1997-98 was suprisingly low.]<<<<
2) Unless otherwise directed I will not send out species an AEG
member has donated. Please let me know.

I will be contacting many of you directly after a closer look at the
'Who's Got What' listing that Ray has provided.
I look forward to your 'Envelopes and Inquiries'.

PLEASE !! PLEASE !! PLEASE send your doanations of seed cleaned of
fruit, and allowed to dry before packaging and mailing.
