This is just what I asked about last week, having recently noticed that
tuberlets don't seem to do well if removed from the tuber. It's always a =great
temptation when you find offsets on an arisaema tuber to remove them and =try
to grow them separately. Avoid the temptation and allow the natural cours=e of
events to transpire. They'll detach from the parent tuber sooner or later=, and
then can be grown separately.
Trillium offsets, on the other hand, will usually do well on their own if
separated, but they have usually developed small rootlets by the time the=y are
found, and they are rhizomes, not tubers.
