Ray,

The only time I was successful germinating Calla palustris was when
the seed was sent to me fresh in a vial of water.
I sowed it into soggy seed mix (peat moss etc.) and into the fridge
at 4deg. C.
Three months later I removed them to outside and 25 days later had 2
seedlings ( out of 13 seeds ). A second spell in the fridge would
have seen more germination I suspect.
My previous failures were due, I'm sure, to receiving dessicated
seed.
