Rust, in other species?

I trashed some mature A. sikokianums with gorgeous variegation last year
because I thought they had rust. They are no longer around, so I can't do
further study, but I'm pretty sure they had it or I wouldn't have bagged them.
I had some A. tripyllums on the other side of the yard that a;sp had rust, and
got trashed as young seedlings. If the A. triphyllums gave it to the sikoks,
it travels fairly long distances. I grow many A. species, but haven't ever
seen rust on any of the others. Now I try to keep the numbers of A. triphyllum
fairly low as a partial control.
