Rust, in other species?

Jim,
My very first Arisaema sikokianum succumbed to this rust. This was probably
about 5 years ago. (Time flies!) I believe the tuber/corm was infected before
I got it because the nearby Arisaema were not affected. From time to time I
see the rust on native Jack-in-the-Pulpits and occasionally on Mayapples, but
I have not seen it again on any of my garden Arisaema.
I did hear one member of DVC/NARGS say he would not try Arisaema sikokianum
again because he had lost them all. This was quite some time ago and his
feeling may have changed.
