Jim:
We sowed our A. elephas seed outdoors in fall 96, where they
sprouted a radicle. This is their second winter, and they should sprout in
spring...I'll report later. All of the seed were collected by Roy Herold (I
went around the wrong side of Tianchi Lake) and can attest that there were
no A. elphas there. I don't know what accounted for the difference in
germination.
