Hi AEG'rs
Happy New Year. I need your help identifying the disease that has infected
one of my arisaema triphyllums. My stored tubers started coming out of
dormancy a few weeks ago, so I potted them up, and they are growing
happily under grow lights, except for one, that is covered with these
awful little bright yellow nodules. The underside of the leaves are
covered with hundreds of these little papules, and there are some on the
surface of the leaf, too. I don't want it to infect my other arisaemas.
How contagious is it? What is it? Should I destroy the plant (gasp!) or
is there a treatment? At first I thought it might be eggs for some sort
of noxious bug pest, but I think now it is not eggs but something else, a
fungus or virus. I have seen this on Maple trees before. Is this blight?
None of my reference books show pictures of anything like it.
