The Flora of China key starts with leaf structure in identification but
Flora of Japan starts with inflorescence. Is there any key that lists
all (or most) Arisaema and starts with the leaf?
Most of my plants are not blooming yet, some have been mixed up and,
as I join expeditions, etc., more seed arrives listed as sp. I've
noticed that the first leaf put out tends to be quite distinct to each
species in regards to size, shape and the stem length. A key would help
me dream about what I might have as the plants mature while waiting for
the inflorescence and positive identification.
The snow is all gone here (for now at least) and the winter has been
mild. Hard to believe that spring is still 2 1/2 months away.
