Jim (McClements),
If I understand well, seeds of Arisaema heterophyllum germinate immediate=ly
and give an aerial blade during the first growing season. The "eophyll" i=s
trifoliolate, isn't it?
Now, I guess the origin of your plants is Korean?
Tell me if I'm right.

Mark (Mazer),
You reported germination of Arisaema dracontium, seed from Ray (Stilwell).
But, in this case, I guess there is no true leaf, just a root and a tuber
below soil level? Do you agree?

To all AEGers,
Sorry, I can't report any germination as I don't use any artificial means
of sowing: no heated greenhouse, no artificial light ... seeds are simply
sown in pots and put in the garden as early as possible (when heavy frost=s
are over, at the end of January). Usually they germinate quite well, but
rarely before early May.
