Subject: When do they leaf out; how to fertilize

I seem to recall reading that some Arisaemas germinate hypogeally--first
year with radicle, next year leaf. Could come up with anything on this
with a search of the archives. Do you know what I'm talking about? If
so, which species?

And I'm agonizing about using liquid fertilizer (Peters) on my 2nd year
arisaema seedlings. I know Jim McClements says he uses 'dilute'
fertilizer in his Turface watering system. Jim: How dilute?
