Garden plant rediscovered wild in China
Arisaema candidissimum, a popular garden plant and a native of China,
which was last recorded in the wild in 1932, has been found again. In
1993 a group of plant explorers located the green-and-white variant in
Sichuan Province and in 1994 the pink-and-white form was rediscovered
on a steep shaly slope in Yunnan Province during a garden society's
expedition to China. Source: Curtis's Botanical Magazine, May 1996,
