Simon,
Offsets are produced on most arisaemas but some are more efficient than
others: for instance, A. ovale produces much more offsets than its relative
A. amurense and, up to now, I never get offsets on e.g. A. iyoanum.
Stolons are produced by some species but only when conditions are
favorable: mature specimens, good growing conditions... But A.
consanguineum is not stoloniferous. On the other hand, stolons are produced
namely on A. exappediculatum, as you noticed, on its close relative A.
concinnum, on the Japanese A. ternatipartitum and on the Chinese A.
ciliatum.
Regards,
Guy
