faux A. griffithii

Ray and Wilbert,

The spathe is light green with white (actually nearly transparent) lines in
it. No dark pigmentation at all on the spathe or spadix. I will take a
picture and scan it and post it to the ID center. It will be a couple of
weeks to get it there.

Paul Christian had mentioned that he got some A. intermedium
once...apparently from India supposedly as A. griffithii. I guess the
tubers must look alike but for the life of me I can't see how anyone could
confuse them in bloom. At this point I can only hope that there are a bunch
of mixed up Arisaema tubers in my batch so I get some other things as
well....but I really wanted some A. griffithii. Some of the tubers were
nearly 3.5 inches across so I was all set for some neat blooms this spring.
Oh well....just have to wait till the rest come up and see what they all
are.

Such is the adventure of importing bulbs. Thanks for the help.

Best Regards.

Scott
