Simon,

You need a younger plant (male) but not too young (neuter). Arisaema go
from neuter to male to female over a period of a few years.

When you get the right mix of plants, forget the brush. Use the Don
Jacobs technique. Seal off the opening at the bottom of the male spathe
and fill with water. Then capture the water and use it to fill the
spathes of the female plants.

You should have more seed than you can use. The Arisaema Enthusiasts
Group will be glad to distribute the excess to our membership.
