Unusual form?; More sex

Now that I have your attention, let me first ask about the white form of A.
candidissimum. I remember reading about this somewhere in the past year or
two, but a plant that a friend brought back from Japan in '95 has just
started to flower and has no pink in the spathe. The tube has some pale green
striping, but the blade is essentially pure white. Is thas a relatively rare
form? Will it come true from seed?
It is truly exquisite, but then so is the "pink" form.

I have four large A. heterophyllum all setting seed for the first time, and
all having about equal numbers of male and female flowers on the spadix. Is
this another case of a species that goes through a monoecious stage before
becoming completely female, or is it a species that will continue to have
flowers of both sexes?

Most of the literature only mentions A. tortuosum and A. flavum as being
permanently monoecious.

Guy, Roy, anyone?

Jim
