The recent postings about multiple stems on A. franchetianum sent me to the
basement for a closer look at some of my seedlings, which except for an
occasional watering haven't had a whole lot of attention the past few months,
where outdoor things have dominated.
Your seed #10927(A.Sp.) and #10713(A. cf yunnanense) have both germinated
100%, and most of the seedlings have multiple stems, with one of the former
having four!
If infancy is any predictor, these should be great clumping forms! I don't
know how mant others are growing these seeds, but it would be interesting to
know if the same thing is happening ti you and the others.
Only one of the A. franchetianum seedlings (Guy's seeds) has a second stem,
and it's miniscule and just appeared.
