Ellen:

I believe that Home Depot carries the 18-6-12 (6 month formulation)
and one of the faster release products (70 day).  We apply the faster
release product in the fall, then the slow release product in the spring.
The remainder from the 70 day formulation feeds the plants in the spring
until the 180 day formulation "kicks in" as Ellen described.
