Nutricote is also distributed in the US by BFG, a large wholesale growers'
supply business - or at least, it was when I last laid in a supply. It
really is great stuff - the only caution I would give about it is that
release is triggered by temperature (over 70, I think) so that it doesn't
have much effect on spring growth. I usually use a soluble fertilizer on
nursery stock once or twice during the spring, before it warms up.
I don't know what Home Depot is offering, but Nutricote proper comes in
quite an array of formulations (different release times, with and without
micronutrients, etc); anyone wanting to use it would want to take care to
make the appropriate selection.
