Osmocote

Several pots of tubers that I'm growing under lights after their period in
the refrigerator are not doing well. They've emerged from the mix, started to
open and then stopped and started to wither.

At first I thought it was either too much or too little water, but correcting
that either way doesn't seem to help.

Then I realized that all of these pots had Osmocote added to the mix, perhaps
a bit liberally. Pots without Osmocote seem to be OK.

I know that fertilizer can burn plants, especially young ones, but thought
that a slow release form like Osmocote should be safe.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
