I recommend that those new to Arisaema join the International Aroid
Society.
Please check the Membership Page at the IAS web site to see how. Or use
the
application form appended below.

Their publication, "Aroideana", is a wonderful source of information on
all
the Aroid species. I understand the next couple of issues will have lots
to
say about the hardy species, particularly Arisaema.

Some years back, Aroideana was one of the few places where one could read
about
Arisaema, Arum, Biarum, etc. For a while, the tropical Aroids consumed
the
space, but not any more. I believe you will find membership rewarding.

Since Sue Thompson became editor of the IAS Newsletter, it too has become
a first rate
source for Aroid and Arisaema information. Think of it as a bonus for
members.

Like many of you, I'll probably never get to Florida to the IAS
Convention, but the
publications and support of Aroid-L are more than enough to justify
membership.

Do join IAS right away so you won't miss the Arisaema articles.
